Charted Knitting Patterns

CHARTED KNITTING PATTERNS

Are they really a challenge?

I]t is not a secret that advanced knitters find working from charts easier than following line-by-line text instructions. Schematic and charted designs are usually more intuitive and quick to work with.

Another benefit of learning how to read that type of patterns is the fact that most Japanese and Chinese designs are completely represented by symbols and lines.

Today I am challenging you with this wonderful vest. It is fully charted, yet easy enough to follow.

This great project was brought to my attention by Deborah Kemball, an avid quilter and knitter who knit it not once, but twice using our Mericana DK (Denim and Mushroom), a perfect yarn for this garment! It takes 3 skeins and now you can choose from 24 colours!

Take the time to understand the logic and you will reveal an entirely new world of knitting opportunities.

I also found few useful blog post if you need some help.
