Silhouette

Easy, yet interesting, our February free knitting pattern is a reversible rectangular shawl.

Silhouette has depth and motion, knitted with quality yarn, your hands will produce a masterpiece. It is simple to knit. There are knit, purl and yarn over stitches, nothing else, nothing twisted or complicated.

• The yarn: 2 skeins approx. 720 yds.) of Arfil BELLE
• NOTE about the yarn. Our yarn base BELLE has a specific tubular twist that gives better elasticity and shape to the fabric. If you substitute the yarn with any other fingering weight yarn you may not obtain the same effect!

• The needle: 3.5mm (US 4) / Measurements: 160 cm (64 in) x 45 cm (18 in.) after blocking.

INSTRUCTIONS:

• The shawl is worked flat, back and forth.
• CO 82 sts.
• Row 1 WS: purl
• Row 2 RS: k2, *YO, k1 (repeat from *to last 2 sts), k2
• Row 3 : Sl1, *k2tog, (repeat from *to last st), p1
• Row 4: Sl1, *[k1, YO]x5, p5 (repeat from *to last st), p1
• Row 5: Sl1, *k5, p10 (repeat from *to last st), p1
• Row 6: Sl1, *k10, p5 (repeat from *to last st), p1
• Repeat row 5 and 6 3 more times.
• Row 13: as row 5
• Row 14: Sl1, [k1, drop next st (this is the YO you created 7 rows below) and let it go down, it will stop at the row where the YO was made,]x5, [p1, YO]x5
• Row 15: Sl1, *k10, p5 (repeat from *to last st), p1
• Row 16: Sl1, *k5, p10 (repeat from *to last st), p1
• Repeat row 15 and 16 3 more times.
• Row 23: as row 15
• Row 24: Sl1, *[k1, YO]x5, p1, drop next st (this is the YO you created 7 rows below) and let it go down, it will stop at the row where the YO was made,]x5, (repeat from *to last st), p1
• Repeat the pattern from Row 5 to Row 24 until piece measures 160 cm (64 in.) from beg.
• Repeat row 2 and row 3
• Bind off.
